Our Story

Where I grew up wasn’t exactly the heart of any flyway. My dad and grandfather duck hunted very little but they afforded me all the opportunities a boy could hope for to subdue my obsession with hunting. I spent most of my child hood chasing whitetails and eastern wild turkeys, with the occasional float trip down a local creek sneaking up on wood ducks in a pirogue. I absolutely loved the outdoors and still do to this day!

The way we hunted ducks a man didn’t need a duck call, but that never slowed me from practicing hours on end. I have to give my parents huge props here because most of it was while walking around inside our house! I purchased all sorts of calls! Every time I could save up some cash I would buy a call, mostly whatever Walmart or a local store had to offer. Buying all these cheap calls lead to me exploring and tinkering and trying to figure out how to make them sound like the ones I would hear on TV or hunting videos(YouTube hadn’t taken off big yet). In time I learned a good bit and got pretty good at working on calls of all types and about 2013 or so when the social media duck call craze took off, so did the services for someone who would work on a duck call!

With a great deal of coaxing from friends and families, I launched Singleton Game Calls in 2015, with my signature “Cut down” style call. I have been absolutely amazed by the demand and support from fellow hunters and call enthusiasts since the start of this journey. I have never tried to break the mold or reinvent the wheel with my calls. Our goal is to create a call that encompasses all age and skill levels, that is equally useful in every flyway. From the rice and corn fields of the deltas and low lands, the marsh, the flooded timber and river bottoms, prairies of Canada, or the frozen bays and big waters of the east coast, we got ya covered!

As my kids have gotten older, my wife and I have turned this into a small, family owned business, and intend to keep it that way. Our mission is to love people and serve them well. We consider it a privilege to get to incorporate duck calls in to that mission!

Thanks for your support,

Devin Singleton
